By far, the best menswear collection of fall/winter 2013-2014, the fella’s of DSquared2 nailed it as they produced La Nouvelle Noir. Loosely translated “the black new wave”, the collection is based off the 1940’s Jazz era with a modern twist that included luxurious fabrics, detailed tailoring and crips silhouettes. With an all black casting of top male models, the show was produced with a full jazz band clad in pearl tuxedo’s with exagerated collars. This collection has served as an inspiration to me since I first saw it in January. The fella’s of DSquared2, Dean & Dan Caten, brilliantly displayed the modern, urban sophisticate. Clean lines, beautiful urban faces and an aura of modern refinement permeated throughout the collection. Check out the video and pics below…Deo
