It is no secret that Scott and I are close palls with 14 years under our belt. We go all the way back to the Ovahnees/Chanel days. We’ve had EPIC fights and uber moments of loving kindness. The secret that most don’t know is that we are each other’s WORST critic! We hold each other to a level and standard of excellence that most would say is delusional…lol…We get into the detail and beauty of the execution…I am a fan of High Society for four reasons ONLY….. They are organic…They are strategic….Very thorough….and the execution is flawless…That’s it, that’s all… Many in the industry bewail their status on social media as being the “premier” host with 14 years undeniably in the game…Some also flaunt their salaried income while informing us this is just a profit generating hobby for them; Yet I’ve never seen any of them produce a reputable talent to headline our annual festivities and most of the venues have been on the dilapidated side. I respect the fella’s of High Society because they are honestly trying to reign at their game while giving the city all the benefits. They evolve and embrace new trends and tactics. They have an everlasting love for Chicago, and the brand, that runs deeper than anyone will ever know. It was a pleasure witnessing my friend excel at his game and revolutionize Pride festivities. Your girls, Bridget Kelly and Keke Wyatt, did their thing and they were gracious and supportive of the community. They left the Diva antics at home and was j just real peeps. Chicago has become too accustomed to events where it is deemed appropriate to bring a blue sip cup, full of liquor, to the front door while trying to negotiate your entry fee. It is an utter breath of fresh air that we have an entity to challenge this mindset while also showing them the clear path to grown man sexy. This event was mos def my premier event of the weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed myself….I’m proud of you Sir…..cheers…..Deo
