Several sources first made me aware of a secret ATL Pride Group weeks ago. The group was founded on a notion of promoting ATL pride, but quickly turned into a cesspool of pre-arranged prostitution and sexual encounters before the actual weekend. Considering I’m in over 150 groups, I never paid it much mind. On the Saturday morning following the first official ATL Pride night, I was alerted to hold my britches and prepare myself to witness the pure scum debauchery that actually took place. I was added to the group and to my astonishment, within minutes; I discovered that after 15 years of being an active participant and supporter of this community, this was the first time that I was actually embarrassed of my community. This group boast a membership of almost 12,000 strong, and within minutes of the drugs wearing off and awakening from a few hours of sleep, members began to post armature videos of them having sex in garages, hallways and alleys, with random partners and unprotected! One video, as illustrated below, shows a participant recording himself having unprotected sex in a filthy garage with someone whom still wear 1999 square toed shoes! I was immediately appalled and repulsed! Now let me be clear. As a 15 year member of this community, I have also engaged in my share of “dirt”; but I never taken it upon myself to record and post it publicly as a sign of accomplishment. See, this type of behavior, if made public, can be used as propaganda to further encourage the younger generation to indulge in reckless and irresponsible behavior that will only leave them suffering in the end.
I was dumbfounded when I witnessed popular figures, promoters and others in the scene endorsing this behavior. But then again, I understand at the end of the day it’s all about the coin. Therefore if you can entice as many youngsters to indulge in reckless behavior and spend their money; on Monday, your pockets will be lined, no matter how many STD’s were transmitted that past weekend. I am a man of conviction! My conviction lead to me to stand behind the notion that unprotected sex with random is utterly foolish! It’s definitely not anything to record and post online for “likes”. Modern medicine has made living with HIV manageable and undectable, but there is a host of other contaminations that a person can pick up with reckless sex. There is NO cure or remedy for Herpes and no man over 30 should want to sit in a clinic and have to undergo 3 weeks of treatment to clear up syphilis! Chicago just went through an outbreak of Meningococcal Meningitis, yet many were down there spreading it like butter while laughing! Those of us whom spoke out about the severity of the situation were attacked and labeled “haters”, but in my convictions I stand firm in the notion that no one wants to be the next victim of an outbreak that was caused by one or two individuals traveling and engaging in high risk sex and bringing it back home. I may not possess the ability to stop someone from indulging in the type of sex they choose, but I also don’t have to stand by and endorse it! I’m not gonna stand to the side and snap my fingers while saying “yasssssssss bitch, collect all those diseases and bring them back home!”

In 2014, Atlanta ranked 39th in population for the U.S, with 456,002 estimated residents. Together the 1st, 2nd and 3rd most populated cities – (NYC, LA, and Chi-Town) – has a combined estimated resident total of over 15 million. Yet, Atlanta alone ranks FIRST in the nation for number of new AIDS (not HIV) patients. Maybe it’s time for us to sit down a year or two and get our health statistics in order before we endorse fuck fest! ATL is the ONLY city in my knowledge, where two years in a row excessive drugs and frolicking has let to 1 drug/drowning death and 1 murder….When one of our brothers or sisters are stricken with CPC Pneumonia or some other ailment, we jump on social media and play sad and bewildered. When someone pass from an STD related ailment, we threw up the GoFundMe pages and make tributes; yet you endorse, partake and promote the very behavior that led to that person’s illness or demise? The government can filter millions of dollars into our community to fight the epidemics, but if you endorse an environment that promotes the transmission of those epidemics, it’s still a losing battle! We all enjoy sex, but at some point you’re supposed to have some type of standard about yourself. Dude in the video fucked you in a garage. So was he staying at home with parents and couldn’t invite you in? If so, could the two of you together not afford a hotel room? And lastly, if that was your reality and what you decided to do, was it really admirable and appropriate to post it online to encourage others that’s its ok? Drugs and wild sex has led this community down a prodigious road of self destruction. 24 year old men are literally rotting before our eyes because we promote excessive drug use and reckless sex. So whom among us are gonna step up and say “nah dude…we gonna get a room and whatever we do, it will be safe and not publicized to the world for likes”…..

In conclusion, I’m sure MANY will burst major unprotected and random nuts this weekend, and there is nothing this column can do to mitigate that. But I am also assured that many will return home burning, leaking and sickly in the next few days. The sad part is that most won’t even know the person that caused this illness. Yes, you got your womb worn out by this sexy dude in ATL and it felt lovely at the time. But now you will return home and have to pay multiple doctor visits and forever live with a bumpy and scale infested ass/penis, because you were high and wanted to get your life that one time. Nobody prides themselves off fucking a bumpy booty or dick. No matter how phat and fine. As I’ve said before, please don’t bring yo bum-bitch, bumpy booty, bust down ass back home expecting sex and leaking diseases all over the place.….We will pass…So cheers to you and your future sex life….Deo
